RESIDENTIAL

STAMFORD PARK DEVELOPMENT

Masterplan for an integrated residential/parkland development, incorporating social, economic and environmental design issues within the wider landscape.  Design driven by sustainability goals, including integrating ‘green’ infrastructure (vegetation) & ‘blue’ infrastructure (hydrology) from private residential landscapes through to public domain.

Landscape Principles in Practice:

  • Value Our Landscape: Extensive site analysis to articulate & identify intrinsic site values, including topography, vegetation, habitat, soils and hydrology.
  • Protect – Enhance – Regenerate: Conservation, rehabilitation and extension of habitat areas are integral to the plan.
  • Design with Respect: Design aims to embrace & interpret indigenous culture: including enhancing respect for natural landscape processes, relevance and appropriateness of development to country and to land use, care and sustainable management.
  • Design for the Future:  Design proposes active intervention and application of natural and ecological design solutions to issues such as solar orientation, energy, microclimate control, waste management and water quality.
  • Embrace Responsive Design: Innovation and adaptive management require landscape values to be clearly measured and articulated from the outset in environmental, social and economic terms.
