Continuing Professional Development

AILA Registered Landscape Architects are required to report on their Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This should be done along with (preferably before) the payment of the annual fees.

The method of calculating CPD points is not changing, these have been in place for many years. The real change is that all Registered members will now be required to report annually.

All Registered members need to report a minimum of 30 points per annum.

Note: CPD points are only valid for the financial year in which they are gained.

The CPD Program is based on a system of points given to weighted hours of CPD activity undertaken.

The AILA conducts an annual random audit of CPD. If contacted, a member may be requested to produce evidence of the CPD undertaken and/or evidence of the CPD planning.

The CPD report must be submitted before the payment of annual fees. Any fees received before the report will held over (pending receipt of the CPD report) but not recorded as being paid.

There are two documents made available by AILA to assist members in planning, identifying and recording their CPD
