Guidelines to using the annual ONLINE Report
Once there please fill out all the details on the first page and then press the “Report on your CPD activity”
The CPD report must be submitted before the payment of annual fees. Any fees received before the report will held over (pending receipt of the CPD report) but not recorded as being paid.

Please select the applicable category – for one point or for two points
Another drop down will then appear from which you should choose the most relevant option.
Another blank line will appear into which you are required a brief set of words, no longer than one line, that provides a brief description of the actual activity.
Examples would be:
“article for landscape architecture australia, Issue 120’,
‘attendance at AILA Talk – 12 Nov 2008’,
“National Policy work, Jan – March 2008”,
“Paper presentation National Conference May 2008”
........................
After each time that you press add, the page will refresh with the new activity inserted and the accumulated points indicated.
Once you have reported all the points you wish to record, please press submit.
You will then receive a copy of the report on the email you indicated.
A copy will also be sent to the AILA National Office.
How Many Points
All members are required to report at least 30 points.
There is no requirement to report more than the 30 points
However, if you would like to record the full extent of your CPD for the AILA files and for your own records, please feel free to report on more than 30 points.
Can you still report using a hard copy version? Yes, you may.

Please submit/mail your hard copy version to the National Office before you pay or with the annual fee payment.
The AILA conducts an annual random audit of CPD. If contacted, a member may be requested to produce evidence of the CPD undertaken and/or evidence of the CPD planning.

CPD and a university Post Graduate Program
A Registered Landscape Architect who has completed post graduate study (Masters) may be granted advanced CPD points - given the financial and time commitment as well as professional commitment that such extra study requires of an employed Registered Landscape Architect.
The AILA CPD requirements allow two years CPD points to be granted for every year (or equivalent part time) of completed academic post graduate study undertaken by Registered Landscape Architects.
please contact the national office and be prepared to send through relevant documentation to verify your cliam - the onus remains with you to produce whatever will validate your claim for the advance CPD points - there is no special form.
