Urban Initiatives Pty. Ltd. is one of Victoria’s most established specialist landscape architecture and urban design practices.

Over a twenty-two year period we have provided services to all levels of government, and to a wide range of private sector clients.

We work in the areas of public space design, policy development for local government, street design, park
masterplans and development, education projects, landscape of infrastructure projects, private landscape design, heritage landscapes, and technical manuals.

We regularly work within multi-disciplinary teams and have strong working relationships with a wide range of experts in allied professions.

Pride is taken to maintain the quality and appropriateness of design solutions in all projects.

 

Where relevant, we aim to extend boundaries through exploration of new technology or innovation in design.

The diversity of projects undertaken by our practice ensures continual staff professional development and a high level of project enthusiasm.

We work competetively within professional institute fee guidelines, aiming to provide value to all clients on all projects. We maintain a sufficient size and resources to service a number of projects at any one time, with each project being given proper and consistent attention over its life.

Located in Central Melbourne, the office offers full professional facilities, including meeting space and computer and printing resources.

Our professional staff have extensive skills including CAD, desktop publishing, photo imaging, and tailoring of databases for urban design applications. We also have experience with all aspects of project delivery, from community consultation to construction management to monitoring of maintenance of constructed projects.
