There are currently eight Australian universities with accredited programs in landscape architecture. These are listed below. AILA has not recognised/accredited any other programs within these universities or within any other universities.

Deakin University, Geelong

School of Architecture and Building

Master of Landscape Architecture

The Master of Landscape Architecture is accredited by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.

Graduates satisfy the educational requirements for AILA graduate membership as the first step towards applying for professional recognition as an AILA Registered Landscape Architect.

University of Tasmania

School of Architecture & Design

The AILA has provided recognition for the three year Bachelor of Environmental Design (Landscape) as an accredited Pathway Program.

This Bachelor of Environmental Design (Landscape) is not recognised by itself as an accredited degree for professional entry in landscape architecture.

Graduates from this Pathway Program need to gain an AILA Accredited Masters Degree following the Bachelor of Environmental Design (Landscape), to have fulfilled the educational requirement required to become an AILA Registered Landscape Architect.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Environmental Design (Landscape) are eligible to apply for entry into landscape architecture Masters programs and other postgraduate programs.

Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts

Bachelor of Landscape Architecture

The UWA's current four year degree program is accredited by the AILA. Graduates from this course satisfy the educational requirements for AILA graduate membership as the first step towards applying for professional recognition as an AILA Registered Landscape Architect.

The University has forecasted changes to the program structure possibly for 2013 and it is expected that the university will be applying for accreditation of these new programs in the near future.

Queensland University of Technology

Built Environment & Engineering: School of Design

Bachelor of Design (Landscape Architecture)

The above four year degree program is accredited by the AILA. Graduates satisfy the educational requirements for AILA graduate membership as the first step towards applying for professional recognition as an AILA Registered Landscape Architect.

Previous to 2006 the AILA accredited the following QUT postgraduate programs:
The Graduate Diploma of Landscape Architecture and the
Masters of Landscape Architecture. 

Please note that the AILA did not accredit as a stand alone degree, the QUT's three year Bachelor of Built Environment.

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology

Faculty of Constructed Environment

The two year Master of Landscape Architecture (by coursework) is accredited by the AILA.

The three year undergraduate Bachelor of Design is an endorsed Pathway Program to the Master of Landscape Architecture, but as a stand alone degree is not recognised as an accredited degree for professional entry in landscape architecture.

The former four year Bachelor of Design (Landscape Architecture) and the double degree in Landscape Architecture and Planning - the Bachelor of Design (Landscape Architecture)/Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning is AILA Accredited.

The former Bachelor of Applied Science (Landscape Architecture) is AILA accredited.

Graduates of the AILA Accredited programs satisfy the educational requirements for AILA graduate membership as the first step towards applying for professional recognition as an AILA Registered Landscape Architect.
