Gender Equity in Landscape Architecture Project
The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA)is taking a leadership role to ensure the landscape architecture profession is as inclusive, progressive and modern as it can possibly can be.
Most of what is thought or known about gender issues within the profession are anecdotal. To properly understand the issue, AILA has announced the launch of aGender Equity Study to investigate the participation of women in landscape architecture and develop strategies to address gender inequity in the profession.

The research and action project undertaken in collaboration with the research-based advocacy organisation Parlour: women, equity, architecture, and the XYX Lab at Monash University is developing the understanding of how we perform broadly as a profession and what might need to happen to improve. It will assist those workplaces that already have gender equity practices and principles in place to continue to improve and provide an important base for others to get started.
Gender Equity Working Group
AILA is calling for expressions of interest from members to join a Gender Equity Working Group to lead the ongoing Gender Equity Project work and response to the Census Report.
EOIs for the Working Group can be submitted by emailing email@example.com with a brief blurb as to why you want to join and a copy of your CV.

In early 2019, AILA will be hosting a series of events focused on discussing the results of the report to get member feedback and engagement on how we respond as an industry.
