2017 National Landscape Architecture Awards

As the first major event of the International Festival of Landscape Architecture, the 2017 National Landscape Architecture Awards brings together the industry to recognise and celebrate the achievements of landscape architects. The Awards program demonstrates to industry, business, government and the wider community the positive impact the profession has on Australian lives through the planning and design of the built and natural environments.

The Grounds of Alexandria spans approximately an acre within the inner west city fringe suburb of Alexandria, and hosts a coffee research and education facility, artisan bakery and a permaculture garden of heirloom vegetables, fragrant herbs, fresh fruit and flowers along with a small animal farm.

Remaining true to the sites heritage of organic industries, which originally included tanneries, wool washing factories and market gardens, The Grounds provides a wholesome, produce-driven menu that is fresh, fun and innovative.

The Grounds is built on the philosophy of creating experiences for communities through quality products, innovations and an ever-evolving vision, making it a perfect location to celebrate the 2017 National Landscape Architecture Awards.
