The
President's Award in Landscape Architecture is a professional achievement

of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (or other person)
to landscape architecture in Australia .
The
award is made biennially by the President on behalf of the Council.
State
President may also award a (State) President's Award biennially.
Procedures
The
National Office calls for the submission of nominations and nominates
a closing date. (2004 closing date is Friday 20th August)
Corporate
members of the Institute may nominate any member or person who has
made a significant contribution to landscape architecture as a candidate
for the award.
Nominations
shall include a statement of around 500 words, describing fully the
achievements of the nominee, keeping in mind the intention of the
Award.
The
completed and signed nomination form and statement shall be mailed
to the National Office to be received by the closing date for the
Award.
The
Council will appoint a jury of three corporate members to consider
the nominations and recommend a recipient to the Council. The Jury
will consist of the President, a Fellow and one other Corporate Member
of the Institute.
The
President and/or the jury shall have the power to nominate other suitable
candidates for the Award and may also recommend that an Award not
be made if they believe that the nominees are unsuited.

and the name of the successful candidate will be the only one revealed
