Application Guides and Assessment Forms
to gain recognition as an
AILA Registered Landscape Architect

The Application for AILA Registration (full professional membership) is in two stages.

Stage One involves 6 to 12 months of mentoring. This process commences by downloading the current form and applying to join the mentoring process (Stage One)

New applicants may apply any time to commence a Stage One.  (start now!)

The final date for the receipt of Stage One Applications is Friday 8th August.

This Mentoring process must be completed by the following February .

Stage Two is the oral assessment. This stage involves an interview in April/May 2009.

This form may be submitted early (anytime before August 2008). It is recommended that applicants for 2009 should start the mentoring and assessment as soon as possible.

This means that while the minimum time is six months for the Mentoring, the maximum time could be 12 months.

Last date for Stage One Applications is Friday 8th August 2008.

Once received, it must be endorsed by the National Office before the Mentoring and assessment commences.

Once accepted, the applicant and mentor will require one of the following sets of Registration Assessment Guides, Assessment Forms and the Assessment Report:

2. Landscape Planning

3. Landscape Management

4. Urban Design/ Urban Planning (soon to be available)
