AILA Registered Landscape Architect Membership

Senior Entry - three examples: with or without recognised qualifications

Senior Entry - Having the equivalent Qualifications/Experience

A person practising in the field of Landscape Architecture, who does not possess the qualification from an AILA accredited tertiary course, may submit to have their mix of qualifications and experience assess as to whether it is equivalent to having an AILA recognised qualification.

As a general rule the expectation would be that the applicant would have close to or more than ten years experience as a landscape architect and would be able to produce documentation and other evidence of their level of expertise and experience. Exceptions may include a mixture of several relevant university qualifications and at least 5 years of total landscape architecture experience together with letters of support from senior/registered landscape architects.

If equivalence is granted, the full application for regsitered membership may be considered.

Applications will be received at any time but the response rate may vary depending on the current work load within the National Office, National Council and the relevant State Group.

People wishing to be considered for the above 'senior' entry processes, should download the information and application form.

All the information is available within the above application document, however, if there are further questions please contact the Executive Director through the AILA National Office, 02 6248 9970
