STUDENT
MEMBERSHIP
Students enrolled in an AILA accredited courses in Landscape Architecture at an Australian university are eligible for membership of the Institute.
Students undertaking studies associated with landscape architecture in a course recognised by Council are also encouraged to apply. It should be noted that not all courses recognised for purposes of Student membership are courses accredited by the Institute for purposes of Associate membership.
Applications for Student Membership are received at any time during the year.
Fees for this grade of membership are:
Student Category (level 1):
All student membership benefits, but no hard copy publications or mail-outs. $33.00 incl GST
Student Member (level 2):
The same as level 1 plus publications, including Landscape Australia.
$110 (incl GST).
The procedure for application and evaluation is:
(i) The applicant completes and sends the Student Application Form, documentary evidence of age and course enrolment and the application fee to the National Office.
(ii) If the course is already recognised, the application for Student membership is processed upon receipt. If the status of the course has not been determined, the application will be put to Council.
On acceptance you will become a member of the Institute and you will also become a member of the relevant State or Territory AILA Group.
Your level 2 fees entitle you to a subscription to 'Landscape Australia' the Institute's official quarterly Journal and issues of 'Landmark' (the Institute's own newsletter for members). All students receive national and state email newsletters.
