The Board of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects welcomes a new Board member.
Chris Boulton has joined the Board following the resignation of the Immediate Past President, Mandy Rounsefell FAILA.
With formal qualifications in landscape architecture, planning, architecture and criminology, Chris Boulton is Logan City Council's Parks Manager, responsible for leading and managing the "People & Business of Parks". This includes a diverse range of activities involving urban parks, natural areas, street landscape and cemeteries.
She loves working at Logan because she is passionate about providing great places for people to experience and value in our built and natural environments, particularly in a rapidly growing City which is already the 6th largest in Australia.
Chris is an active AILA Regsitered Member and past Qld President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) launching the first AILA Qld Breakfast Forums in 2008.
Chris is also a member of Local Government Managers Australia, and just participated in Logan's "Team Fit" who was the National Runner-up in the 2011 Local Government Management Challenge.
With a career approaching almost 20 years, Chris commenced in private practice with Landscan and later EDAW, and later transitioned across to Local Government in 2001 with Ipswich City Council and then Logan City.
