women in landscape architecture

a call for information

 

The National Office has been approached by researchers within the australian women's history forum (www.womenshistory.com.au) seeking assistance to gain more information on women involved in and around Landscape Architecture in the early years of practice in Australia.

They wish to include in a special presentation, soon to be published, those women recognised as significant in the history and practice of landscape architecture in Australia. So not necessarily Australian and, given the timing in the profession's history, not necessarily recognised formally as a landscape architect.

They would like to access any photographs of each woman chosen to be listed and would appreciate any help the Institute members can give with low res images plus acknowledgements of their source which we can include in their online gallery.

so far - we have agreed on the following as a starting point but we are open to suggestions from the membership:
