A Statement from AILA NSW

Barangaroo  (8 April 2010)

AILA NSW has received requests for information and responses in relation to the progress of the Barangaroo developments in Sydney.

AILA NSW has been actively monitoring this development and is undertaking actions to keep the membership informed as the development progresses.

The AILA NSW Executive's next priority in relation to Barangaroo has been to request of the Barangaroo Delivery Authority that they hold an information/briefing session for the AILA membership and other interested parties. This session is aimed to be an information session whereby current and accurate information can be made available on the progress and expectations of the next stages. It is definitely not meant to be a grilling session of the Authority about its processes - we are seeking an open forum to make sure that all members have the information direct from the Authority rather than via other sources such as the newspapers.

In the meantime AILA NSW is not making public comments or submissions on Barangaroo  - as we await the chance to sit down with the membership and be provided with the most current information. Hopefully this will happen soon.

We will keep you informed plus watch for news through communiques.

AILA NSW Executive
