AILA Salons
Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture
The AILA Salons
The Salons have been designed as an informal after work monthly gathering of Landscape Architects to catch up and discuss projects, inspiration and practice.
The idea is to discuss and interrogate design practice in a collaborative way, to share ideas and to elevate discussion about what it is we do.
The first Salon is with Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture Pty Ltd, a design-based practice with a particular interest and expertise in the field of public domain planning and design.
They are currently working on small to medium sized projects in the public domain, multi-unit residential including aged housing, and private gardens. Their design response is very place based, building on the physical and cultural base inherent in each site. This response involves retention, re-use and recycling of features and materials.
Projects discussed will include Railway Park Auburn, Beare Park, and Oakleigh Farm.
