One of the common queries through the National Office is for a Fee
Scale.
Much work had progressed on this. But..following recent 'advice'
from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), AILA
is no longer able to publish its scale of fees.
These types of tables and scales are be seen by the ACCC as being
anti-competitive.
The only way around this is for AILA to publish some results of
a survey.
AILA
will be able to provide advice to members on how to calculate fees,
though $'s cannot be listed.
A
future
survey will aim to collect information on the range and average
fees charged
by AILA members in various categories of service in various cities
and regions
over the previous 12 months
But
in the meantimes, the previous scale of fees and those that had
been just drafted, are not endorsed by AILA and should not be quoted.
