Citation: The Western Lookout and Walkway, Pinnacle, Mount Wellington
superbly manifests a richly layered design concept that is at once
sensitive yet robust, sculptural and functional. It is elegant and
has an economy of form and detail.
It
also pays homage to its magnificent setting and broader contemporary
and historical cultural context. Fine detailing and thoughtful use
of recycled and natural materials result in an exemplary example
of what can be achieved within a modest budget.
