Tecton Projects, Hobart City Council |
| Julies initial training was
in the field of visual art, running her own ceramics design and production practice for 18
years. In this capacity, Julie became involved with Hobart City Council in 1996, being
responsible for several streetscape Public Art Projects. It was during this period that
she developed a new vision for her professional development within landscape architecture
and moved to Queensland to study. Julie graduated in 1999 and has since worked for
Hobart City Council on a diverse range of projects, including the redevelopment and
upgrade of some significant and established urban parks in Hobart, requiring master
planning and contemporary design solutions, such as the Fitzroy Gardens and the Cultural
Park in North Hobart. Julie has been involved in the design of a number of
leftover confined urban spaces which have been recently acquired by Council,
including sites in Battery Point, Swans Street Park and the Gateway Landscape
Brooker Highway. |
