NINGBO CITY PLAN, CHINA

Landscape Architect:
HASSELL Pty Ltd

Client:
Ningbo Planning Authority, P.R., China

Jury Comments

Through a tremendous effort Hassell Pty. Ltd. managed to preserve and integrate much of the site’s existing character into the outcomes of this master plan. Ningbo City Plan demonstrates a fusion of different cultural planning techniques: the 'Field of Nine Divisions' (a Chinese planning concept) fuses with western view corridors. The combination makes this a commendable plan.
