Join us for AILA SA’s Salon Talk as the HASSELL team open their studio to show you around their space and give you an insight into how they operate.

This series of AILA Salon events offers landscape architects the exceptional opportunity to visit local landscape architecture practices and public sector organisations to meet the team and learn about recent projects and projects under development.

The “show and tell” format encourages the exchange of knowledge in a relaxed and informal environment. HASSELL will be giving an informal presentation on some recent project highlights that illustrate the core vision of their practice.
Presenter Nick Pearson - Senior Associate at HASSELL:
Nick is a senior associate in HASSELL’s Adelaide studio and has worked in both South Australia and Western Australia on a number of award winning landscape projects. Nick has extensive experience in a wide variety of complex public domain projects in Australia including Optus Stadium, Fiona Stanley Hospital and Crown Towers in Perth and Adelaide Zoo Entrance and Giant Panda Exhibits in Adelaide. Through his collaborative approach Nick’s strength is aligning the urban design process with the often complex engineering and architecture processes. Nick’s passion is to achieve great design outcomes that are a benchmark for the integration of urban design, landscape architecture and sustainability and ultimately the creation of exceptional places.

Practice Overview:
HASSELL is a leading international design practice with studios in Australia, China, South East Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
HASSELL judge the success of the buildings and places we design by the way people use and enjoy them - the clients who commission them, the people who inhabit them. Good design is about helping clients meet their needs and objectives. It is also about the way people feel when they experience it, a sense of meaning, connection and belonging.
Their design values are shared globally across all the HASSELL studios, by the talented people who work in them: architects, interior designers, landscape architects, urban designers, planners and specialist consultants.
