Students design their own playground with tunnels, teepees and tomato patches

Consulting architect Julie Lee from landscape architect group TRACT said the students wanted to humanise the bleak space. “There were some ideas for tree houses and elevated spaces, which may have been too dangerous,” Ms Lee said. “But we can still create a lot of space where they will be able to use their imagination.” Ms Lee said it was also a great opportunity to provide an active space for inner west children living in high density housing.
