End of financial year is a busy time for landscape architects. Amidst all the rush to wrap projects and budget planning, don’t forget it is also time for AILA membership renewals. So far the response from members has been terrific with over half of you already renewing your membership. The last few years have been a very dynamic period for AILA. It was only 12 months ago that we started the implementation of the new member interface which included the creation of a new AILA website. The reforms in policy and finances have created a strong foundation for AILA to provide more for members including raising the profile of landscape architecture and advocacy. Thank you for your ongoing support which makes AILA a stronger, more capable organisation. It is a terrific time to be a member of AILA with members being provided with even more benefits over the coming year.

When looking at your end of year budgets (or budget forecasts) don’t forget tickets are also on sale for the 2015 Festival of Landscape Architecture: This Public Life. Book before 31 July to take advantage of the discount early-bird rate. Victorian members are looking forward to having visitors from around Australia and overseas, with Spring being a terrific time of year in Melbourne. The city comes to life with events such as the Melbourne Festival and the Spring Racing Carnival. Make sure you get your tickets and be a part of the event.
