The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) has achieved world notoriety for its collections, interpretation and presentation.

Meet Ben Essex and Adam Holmstrom who have been working together for many years to develop and manage the MONA landscape under the direction of award-winning architect Nonda Katsalidis.

Tour the grounds and learn about the challenges of the site and the landscape responses.

Two tour timeslots are available 12pm and 2:15pm.  The tour will last one hour.  Please select your time slot when registering. LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE.

See the early, award winning work of Oculus and the more recent work of Inspiring Place on an ever-changing site with multiple landscape, sculpture and architecture vignettes.

Meeting Spot

Meet on the tennis court at the top of the stairs near the museum entry. Disability access available, please note requirements on the form provided and you will be directed where to go, once you are at the site. 

Attendees will need to coordinate and pay for their own ferry and museum ticket via the MONA website which are separate costs from the tour.  

Ferry tickets need to be pre-purchased. Museum entry can either be pre-purchased or paid for onsite, but we recommend pre-booking. Food and drink available on site at cost. 

Museum entry pricing: 
Tasmanians: Entry is free but you must pre-book and pay a deposit of $5 which is refundable after your visit
Interstate and overseas: $38 for adults, $32 for concession, $15 for those under 18, and free for those under 12.

Take the 11.15am or 1.15pm ferry to Mona after you've enjoyed the Salamanca Market in the morning. 

Tour lasts 1 hour. Return ferry to town at a time of your own choice.
