LFA’s Landscape Performance Case Studies (LPCS) Program funds academic research teams to collaborate with a design practice to assess the landscape performance of one the practice’s built projects. Over time, the resulting case studies will build a significant resource for evaluating sustainability of urban landscape design projects in Australia and inform future landscape planning, design and management.
Join us to hear from the two teams who were in the first round of the Program. They will give brief presentations on their research and key findings, allowing time at the end for questions and discussion.
The two projects that will be discussed are both AILA award winning projects:
- Monash University’s Southern Precinct Landscape by ASPECT Studios, assessed by a team from RMIT Landscape Architecture, led by Dr Jock Gilbert, and
- Curtin University’s Exchange Precinct, by REALMstudios, assessed by a team from the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute, led by Prof Peter Newman.
Information will be provided about the upcoming 2026 LPCS Program.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday 17 September from 12pm - 1pm AEST (Bris/Syd/Melb time). The session will be recorded and made available to registrants 72 hours after the event.
