NSW Bondi Pavilion Tour - A Sunset Walk & Talk

Designing for Shared Spaces - Presented by AILA NSW, JMD Design and AILA NSW Partner Light Culture & BEGA

What does it take to create enticing and safe spaces in iconic Australian environments?

Join us for a walk along Bondi for a discussion on the considerations needed when designing for public open spaces.

Bernardo Cunha from JMD Design and Tom Stevens from Light Culture will lead us on a walking tour of the Bondi Pavilion and surrounds, providing a general overview of the brief, opportunities, constraints and design response of the project.

When: Thursday 8th Dec
Time: 5pm-6.30pm (drinks after)
Cost: FREE for members

Key considerations of the project to be discussed during the tour:

- Keeping the pavilion's heritage, it's story and history

- Keeping a strong community character

- Making the courtyards a flexible space, suitable for a range of events

- Heritage interpretation

-Accessibility

- Environmental Influences (weather etc.)

- Safety and flexibility

This is sure to be a fantastic event in a beautiful setting, with the insight of multiple perspectives making it one not to miss. We will have drinks afterwards and enjoy the beautiful view and hopefully some sunshine!

Places will book up fast so be sure to register your spot now.
