Located in the heart of the Stones Corner precinct, this rejuvenated parkland will host a renewed and attractive natural character setting, deliberate ‘rewilding’, improved storm water management and habitat values, significant increase in trees and plant numbers, natural features, as well as improved pathway connections, play spaces, art and parkland recreation opportunities.
Come and listen to how this parkland is being revitalised into an attractive natural public space. Brisbane City Council Representatives Wade Fitzgerald (Norman Creek 2012-2031 Master Plan), Lisa Edgerton (Community Engagement), Michelle Seward (Concept project manager) and John McKee (Construction project manager) will provide an insight into the Parkland’s contextual planning framework, as well as the project development and delivery process. After which, Paul Morris (Principal Landscape Architect at Tract) and Alan Hoban (Director of Planning, Water and Environment at Bligh Tanner) will lead the design discussion and walk around the newly opened sections of the parkland.
Please note this is a tour only and not a catered event. There are cafes close by at Stones Corner if you would like to grab a bite to eat or coffee before joining us. We encourage taking public transport as there is limited parking nearby.
The tour will start near Cornwall Street, with more details sent out to attendees prior to the event.
