Prof. Zhu Yufan's major Research Areas: Landscape design, history and theory of Chinese and foreign gardens, design teaching and research methods, etc.

Graduate courses taught include Landscape Planning and Design (1)(2), Urban Landscape Design Studio, Outline of Landscape History (Europe and America), and Advanced Studies in Landscape Architecture.

Undergraduate courses taught include World Ancient Garden History and Landscape Design (7).

Major Research and Practice Achievements:

Published over 30 papers in journals such as "Chinese Landscape Architecture," "Landscape Architecture," "Art Design Research," "World Architecture," "Urban Environmental Design," and "New Architecture."

Served as editorial board member for journals such as "Chinese Landscape Architecture" and "Landscape Architecture."

Served as chief editor for the foreign garden history section of the "Chinese Encyclopedia" (in progress) and the chief editor for the "History of Chinese Landscape Architecture - Northern Region" (in progress).

Led engineering projects including landscape design for Beijing CBD Modern Art Center Park, landscape design for the national patriotic education demonstration base in Qinghai Atomic City, "Watermark" at the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale, landscape planning and design for Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden Quarry Garden, landscape design for the headquarters of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Winter Olympics (Shougang Industrial Park), and landscape design for the "Duleyuan" at the 2017 Berlin International Garden Exhibition.

Received the First Prize of the National Excellent Engineering Exploration and Design Industry Award, the First Prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award from the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, and other domestic awards.

Received over 20 international design awards from organizations such as the International Federation of Landscape Architects, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Royal Institute of British Architects, and the Landscape Institute.

Received the inaugural Sylvia Crowe
International Award for Outstanding Contribution from the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2018.
