Tommy Day is a Gunditjmara, Wemba Wemba and Yorta Yorta man based in Victoria.

Tommy is currently a AILA Cultural Ambassador serving his second term and is a multi-disciplined artist and designer and owner operator of Jirri Jirri Art & Design.

Tommy has a background in Native Title and Cultural Heritage and over 20 years’ experience in senior management roles within the areas of land management planning and Indigenous Protected Area’s management. I hold tertiary qualifications in Conservation and Land Management.

Tommy currently serves as an advisor across several projects across Victoria and works closely with Traditional Owners and is committed to ensuring design principles and philosophies are at the heart of all projects.

Tommy believes firmly in designing in harmony with country and true and authentic partnerships that are based on legitimacy and cultural match, working closely with Elders and community. His passion is to ensure Traditional Owners are well informed and supported to make decisions on country that are in line with community aspirations and identity.
