Participate in an immersive hands-on art workshop of your choice exploring the sustainable practises of natural dyes for textiles or working with foraged or “wild” clays.
Dye Workshop
In this workshop join landscape architect Kiri Bowmer and artist Steph Doddridge to learn the principles of fabric dyeing using natural and foraged organic and inorganic materials to discover the possibilities of an emerging landscape typology, Dye Gardens. The workshop will be a botanical dye workshop using the bundle dye technique where you will create a silk tote bag to take home.
Clay Workshop
Explore working with ‘foraged’ clay with Jam Factory Associate Lotte Schwerdtfeger and landscape architect Tanya Court. The workshop will explore issues of using so-called "wild" clays while learning introductory skills.
