Amelia is a lutruwita/Tasmanian based counsellor and psychotherapist, mental health advocate and feminist living in kanamaluka/Launceston.

Her interest in mental health, fostering wellbeing and building sustainable solutions in which people can thrive is built out of her own lived experience, continuous studies, and rage at the systems which are built to maintain status quo, rather than encouraging us to challenge the norms we so readily accept - particularly when we are under pressure.

A staunch feminist, Amelia challenges the way we think about ourselves, our time, our work, relationships and families, proposing the question: “If we are not benefiting from prioritising our time, effort, love and care - who is? And why?”. Unpicking the narratives we’ve been taught, and knitting in new and more certain, values based ways of being is the core tenet of her work.

Amelia works with individuals, couples, organisations and communities to build and grow the world she wants to see her own little family thrive in.
