Bianca Fileborn (she/they) is an Associate Professor in Criminology at the University of Melbourne. Their internationally-recognised work examines the interplay between space/place, culture, identity and sexual violence. They have undertaken award-winning research exploring sexual violence in licensed venues/the night-time economy, and live music settings, and street-based harassment. A/Prof Fileborn is the author of Reclaiming the Night-Time Economy: Unwanted Sexual Attention in Licensed Venues (Palgrave), co-author of Unsilenced: Women Musicians, Gender-Based Violence and the Popular Music Industry (Bloomsbury), and co-editor of #MeToo and the Politics of Social Change (Palgrave) and Geographies of Gender-Based Violence: Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives (Bristol University Press).
