2025 Festival Creative Director
Miriam is a Director of Hobart-based landscape architecture firm Playstreet, where she spends her days turning wild ideas into even wilder nature-based play spaces. With a strong background in place-based design, she’s especially passionate about working with schools and communities, ideally the kinds that love a good sticker map and aren’t afraid to dream big. Her work is grounded in the belief that landscapes do far more than beautify; they shape how we live, interact, and connect.
In her role as a board member of Dark Sky Tasmania, Miriam advocates for design that protects our night skies, because good design should consider what happens after sunset, too. Outside of work, she can often be found enjoying the culinary delights of the Coal River Valley where she lives, usually in close proximity to a good glass of Pinot.
