Rosalie Martin is a clinical speech pathologist with 40 years’ experience, almost 25 of them at the helm of Hobart-based practice, Speech Pathology Tasmania. She is driven by kindness in action, evidence-based service delivery … and fun! Rosalie founded a literacy-and communication-focused charity which delivered advocacy and flourishing programs in Tasmania for a decade. She is also a criminologist and facilitator of reflective dialogue. Rosalie is currently completing a PhD in criminology, focused on the concept of communication privilege. Rosalie was awarded the 2017 Tasmanian Australian of the Year for delivering programs of literacy and parent-child attachment to those not usually offered such opportunity – prison inmates. She continues to lead, gently but audibly, in the expanding conversation of 100% literacy for Tasmanians.
