AILA keeps members’ voices and expertise at the heart of every decision we make. Our volunteer-led committee structure channels that collective wisdom into clear, purpose-built forums:

• Five Board Committees – Finance Risk & Audit, Membership, Education, Advocacy and Profile – each mirror a pillar of our Strategic Plan, so professional insight flows straight into AILA’s core priorities.
• Working Groups - short-term task forces of the Board Committees, provide agile specialist input where and when it’s needed, ensuring every member can contribute where their expertise has the greatest impact.
• Three Strategic Values Advisory Committees – Climate and Biodiversity Positive Design, Connection to Country, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion – safeguard the cultural values that shape everything we do.
• Other Committees - vibrant networks that connect members with shared interests and career stages.

Together, these forums create a dynamic, member-powered engine that guides AILA’s strategy, upholds our values, and amplifies landscape architecture’s voice nationwide.

Board Committees

Working Groups
