Amalie Wright

Amalie is an enthusiastic designer and dabbler. Registered as both an architect and landscape architect, she’s spent the past 20 years designing and dabbling her way through projects big and small, for public and private clients, jotted down a few words here and there, and spoken to audiences in various states of wakefulness.

After years of careful nurturing by Gillespies, EDAW, AECOM and Hassell, Amalie embraced a new challenge, establishing Landscapology.

In addition to her practice she tutors in landscape and architecture at the Queensland University of Technology, and is actively involved in AILA, participating as a registration mentor, interview panellist, past Board member, and current Queensland President.

If this all sounds far too dull, then rest assured that in her spare time Amalie is also dead keen on good food, films and wine, reading, gardening, bashing away at the piano with more energy than skill, and thinking about holidays…
