Professor James Weirick

Prior to joining UNSW in 1991, Professor James Weirick was the Head of Landscape Architecture Unit at RMIT. James brought a wealth of lecturing experience to UNSW, having enjoyed previous posts as Visiting Lecturer, Master of Urban Design Course and Lecturer in Landscape Architecture, RMIT. James was also Lecturer in Landscape Architecture at the Canberra College of Advanced Education, 1982-1986.

Before beginning his academic career in Australia, James held positions as Instructor, History of City Planning, Architecture & Landscape Architecture, Department of Fine Arts, University of Massachusetts, and Instructor, Architectural History & Theory, Boston Architectural Centre, Massachusetts.

James has worked with various consultancies in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
