News from NSW: Jason Cuffe, NSW Executive Member

Dear AILA NSW members,

The Executive has had another busy month with several key focuses including engagement with new ministers, preparation for the NSW awards night and transition of the Executive as we go through an election cycle. Nominations for the Executive closed 12th May with several changes to come including new faces in the group and a change to the key roles – watch this space!

Following confirmation of the new Executive we will be engaging with key ministers of the new government with an aim to form partnerships that promote the role of Landscape Architects and ensures that the membership has representation in key policy decisions.

In the interim we are looking forward to connecting with each of you at the AILA NSW Awards night on 8th June, as we celebrate excellence in landscape architecture and recognise the outstanding achievements of our members.

This year’s event promise to be an unforgettable evening filled with inspiring projects, networking opportunities and well deserved recognition for individuals and teams who have made a significant contributions in the profession. The shortlisted projects, available to be viewed on AILA NSW Event Gallery, are setting the standard for what will be an exciting night.

This event also serves as a platform for members to exchange ideas, establish connections, and foster collaborations within the landscape architecture community.

It is an opportunity to meet industry leaders, gain insights into the latest trends and innovations in design, and celebrate the influence of the landscape architecture profession.

AILA NSW was confirmed last week as a signatory to the NSW Public Spaces Charter- to commit to supporting best practices in creating and managing new, better and more active public spaces in NSW.
