New Australian Standard 4419:2018 - Soils for landscaping and garden use
Did you know that there has been a revision of AS 4419:2003 Soils for landscaping and garden use? The new standard 4419:2018 was released late in 2018. Make sure you attend to get all the information you need! You’ll also be able to ask questions about how these significant changes affect you and your future soil specifications
Specification: Making Specifying the correct turf variety easier than ever
Lawn is often the final touch in a design and can make or break a great project. Specifying the right variety for long-term results is vital and science has now enabled us to utilise lawn in more applications with practical, environmental and economic benefits. We'll go through the process of how to specify turf and provide landscape architects with a document/tool that can be used in future projects.
What has science got to do with grass?
The Lawn Solutions Australia group has the largest research program in the southern hemisphere and over the last five years have been working with world leaders in grass breeding to find substantially better lawn varieties to meet the future needs of our communities. We are proud and excited to say that we now have found two stand-out varieties that shine out above the rest, backed with up to 25 years research and breeding in the USA.
Chantal Milner, Senior Soil Scientist at SESL
Chantal will discuss not only the AS4419 changes and how these significant changes affect your future soil specifications but will address specifications in general. Including the importance of getting the specification right in terms of soil testing.
Simon Adermann, Lawn Solutions Australia and Kylie Fernon, Jimboomba Turf Group
