Have you marvelled at Convic’s Fremantle Esplanade Youth Plaza and its parkour park? If you are designing a playscape with the youth in mind, including parkour fosters the sense of community that is an essential part of the sport. The first project visit will include Adelaide’s first parkour park, Carisbrooke Park. During the visit, learn about the importance of safe distances between the equipment and positioning of various elements in relation to each other.

The next stop will be a custom designed Lappset playground on a grand scale, located at Westfield Shopping Centre, West Lakes. See the original concept drawing provided by the client, compare with the actual outcome and understand the flexibility of Lappset’s customisation service. Learn how and why some design aspects need to be compromised to comply with Australian Standards, and increase the child’s play experience.
