Mr Mark Parton, Shadow Minister for Planning

Mark Parton has proudly represented the Tuggeranong area in the Legislative Assembly for the last 4 years. He was no stranger to Canberrans prior to his election after spending the best part of 20 years working on local radio.

Mark is a family man, a former small business owner and keen cyclist.

As a hard working member of the Canberra Liberals parliamentary team, he’s taken on the Planning and Housing portfolios and well and truly held the government to account. Mark believes that Canberra’s planning framework is particularly challenging, not just for those who are playing in it, but for community members who are often baffled by its complexity and duplicity.
