As Architects, Landscape Architects and Planners how can we work collaboratively to empower women, encourage the next generation of leadership and promote gender diversity within the built environment?

Common Ground x International Women’s Day 2024 is a cross-disciplinary event between EmAGN (The Australian Institute of Architects Emerging Architects and Graduates Network), AILA Fresh (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects) and Young Planners (Planning Institute of Australia).

The event will bring together three exciting speakers from across the professions of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Planning in conversation to discuss the importance of empowering women in the built environment and developing leadership skills at an early career stage. This conversation will be followed by a series of informal group mentoring sessions led by experienced practitioners from each discipline and will provide students, graduates and emerging professionals with an opportunity to share stories, gain insights and ask for advice.

EmAGN, AILA Fresh and Young Planners are excited to come together and find Common Ground on this year's UN International Women’s Day theme,Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress’.
